Fall from Grace
By Victoria Everman
The first thing that I saw from this band was the tattoo-style graphic on the entrance to their website; I liked the band already. Listening to their songs, I got a great rush of energy that’s a mix of punk funk tangled with great rock ‘n roll that was easily inspired by 80’s metal.

Needless to say, I’m addicted already, so when I got a chance to talk with B (the shredding guitar & backing voices of the band), I was hyped. Read on and see what fun ensued during out time together.

Who do you think your main fan base is?
Male & Female ages 15 to 25.

According to your MySpace bio, you have opened for national acts that have toured through Seattle. Who has been your favorite to open for?
Zeke was really cool, but I would definitely say it would be Aiden; those guys are old homies from way back when and that’s always good times.

Have you noticed the attendance to your shows going up from being on MySpace?
Not a big notice, but the thing that’s awesome about MySpace is it allows you to communicate [with] your fans on more of a personal level, rather then a plain emailed file.

How long do you hope for the band to last?
Aerosmith has been around for over 30 years, but of course, there are many others that stopped long before that. I would love to be able to play music with these guys for the rest of my life. We all have played for numerous bands and never have felt this kind of chemistry.

What is your favorite part of playing live and why?
My favorite part of playing live is the raw energy and emotion that comes [from] our fans and [from] us. It’s very personal to me and gives us an opportunity to embrace the love our fans have shown us.

Have you been given any random gifts from your fans?
Oh plenty of times! Let me see: fudge, framed pictures, & poems. The biggest honor of them all is [when] they get our band name tattooed [on themselves]; that’s a different story on its own. It really is hard to remember them all. I'm sure the other guys know a lot more then I’m saying now, but they are indisposed at the studio finishing our pre-production for our next album.

What is your opinion of MTV and the current status of "pop culture?"
[It’s] a bit on the tired side; [with] the same-old bling bling, chicken wing, and pouring crystal on a 10k-a-day model. I think MTV has over killed the R&B and Hip-Hop scene, [while forgetting] what got them to where they are now; Rock n' Roll. Don't get me wrong, we have nothing against the R&B and Hip-Hop culture. I just can not turn on MTV or MTV2 anymore and see some f*cking Rock! Oh, and what happened to "Music Television", not reality television? Maybe they should change the name [to] RMTV: Reality and Music Television; it seems to be in that order as well. I am a bit ashamed of what MTV has turned into. Whatever sells, huh?

When you get your first big check from album sales, what do you plan to buy first?
No doubt about it; a better tour bus.

What kind of state is your current tour bus in? Are we talking exploding toilets & rusted fenders?
Our tour bus just doesn’t exist. Ken, our bassist, has a four-door Chevrolet truck and we put a cargo trailer on the back. It’s pretty cramped when all of us are in the thing. So if you know anyone donating a decent-running van, please get a hold of us!
